- jennifer claire luter, born april 12 1980, 30 years old - born and raised in portland, maine to a middle class family; her father works in sales for a local furniture store and her mother is a nurse - completed her b.a. in women's studies and economics at wellesley college in 2002 - moved to new york after college and got a job with lehman brothers in human resources, worked there until it collapsed in september 2008, was mostly responsible for taking care of healthcare benefits - was unemployed until june 2009, when she finally humbled herself enough to apply to starbucks - has been interviewing almost constantly for other positions, and in december was hired as a hr manager for a chain of up and coming boutiques - lived in a pretty amazing two-bedroom in a post-war building in murray hill until she lost her lehman brothers job, has since moved to a small one-bedroom in brooklyn - often feels a little "behind" in life because of the years she spent between jobs - has two younger siblings - generally an easygoing person and was once something of a workaholic, although her time unemployed has mostly cured her of that - loves: tech gadgets of all kinds, taking acrobatics and trapeze lessons on the weekends, terrible reality tv, peanut butter, romantic comedies - hates: cooking (and subsists mostly on takeout), people who snap their gum, potato chips, action movies
